Seek Truth: Self-Teaching
Independent Learner
I had known, at a very young age, that I could learn from the mistakes of my predecessors.
Over the years, observing the patterns of my surroundings helped me understand, that the more I watched, the better I became at seeing people for who they truly were.
Then came the day I decided to never be like them, vowing to always do everything in my power to be better.
Learning to become dependent on myself from the knowledge I gained through their mistakes was crucial for my survival in the environment I was given.
So, here is how to know you are doing it right for yourself and what it looks like.
Confirmation 1: Observe.
Pay attention to how people behave alone and, in a group, their behavior with others is their truth. Compare what they say, observe the words and conversations. Pay attention to the patterns.
The patterns become a collective of information that you store as a database. You use this to analyze them in comparison with your personal experiences.
Take these pieces of information as futures notes in what to avoid in the future, better understand the trials of the past, in which become clearer to navigate in the present.
People reveal themselves through their words and actions more than we know. There are always clues to who they are, their character, morals, and lines of integrity.
Have open eyes and ears.
Confirmation 2: Question.
Mentally inquire about behaviors or choices. Most times you can find answers right in front of you by what they do or do not say.
The only way you can discover the hidden nodes of information, whether passive, emotional, or ignorant, etc., is when you are consistently asking the right questions and leading with them in mind towards reality.
When something is off, assess. Get curious, you'd be surprised how most people are complacent with how they behave, choose to not change, or are plain cruel.
Once you've become good at reading people, the direct approach will not always be necessary until a situation demands it.
Confirmation 3: Self-realization
Gaining the ability to realize information on your own strengthens the confidence in your independent resolve and integrity.
This is the easy part, recognizing information obtained and realizing it as evidence to a specific theory, hypothesis, or life situation.
Sometimes it is quick to catch, others may take a while to realize and that is okay. Better later, than never.
Pay Attention...
People are self-aware enough to attempt at influencing your perspective by projecting their failures onto you.
Don't take "advice" from others you do not know, do not live the life you aspire to achieve, or have not proven worthy of your ear, time, and attention. Seek the awareness in others before any access to you.
Those who attempt, want to manipulate and exploit someone of gullible tendencies in hopes to get any form of attention, pity, and validation.
Stay mindful of who you speak to, what you say, and how they speak.
I hope this for you.
