Connect Within: Inner Child Healing

 Tap Into Yourself

Discovering what feeds your happiness matters for creative works and building fulfillment in your daily life.

The best way to start is to seek inward, igniting or creating the sparks of excitement that have waned over the years.

When I was faced with the challenge of investing more into myself, I realized this was the making of a grand cheat code that must not go unnoticed.

So much so, I was compelled to expound this new information in hopes to guide others in reclaiming it.

At your expense, today will be a breakdown on the push to find your joy, what that may look like, and my brief monologue on why this skill is a fundamental need for creative and mental well-being.

Baby Steps

Close your eyes and think back to the good ol' days of toddlerism. Was there something you enjoyed during playtime? What did it look like? What emotions did it invoke?

I understand, not all childhoods are the same, so it is important to know that if no well fermented memories arise, it is okay. Yet, that does not mean we should stop there. This is about discovery, about going for what makes you happy.

Take the time to brainstorm ideas of activities you would like to do or retry, write it down, list them and go do it. Life is too short; no human should deprive themselves of having fun.

In time, you will learn what works in your world. You get to be the editor and publisher of your reality and that starts with you taking the time to sit down and create, explore.

I'm Out Of Ideas, Where Can I Start?

Most ideas are not bad ideas; the worst are either unsafe or unacceptable in terms of safety, health, and high risk. Start with activities that allow you to express yourself creatively.

This can look like dancing, painting, writing poems, coloring, etc. I encourage you to research topics on subjects that pique your interest. Engage in communities that align with your needs of expression.

If you are interested in sports, find a community that creates time to play in their hours of leisure. If you can't, maybe you can be the original creator/director. The possibilities are only limited by your own doing or limited imagination.

I May Want To Limit Socializing...

No worries, who says you have to be social at the expense of your prioritized 'Me Time'? Find ways to use your time for interests in general. Keep yourself in mind. What are things that you like to do?

Not everyone needs to be on the same page as you on a daily basis. It is a good thing to have fun by yourself.

This builds your confidence and solidifies the growing relationship with who you are to you. It is awesome for you, to hang out with you.

You need to allow yourself the space to get to know who you are, what you want/don't want, and develop your interests in the long run without the influence of those around you. That is a base for true authenticity.

Those Ideas Are Not Near My Interests

No matter the case, interests are interests. Discovery to your joy and what brings you fulfillment looks different across all sectors.

The only opinion that matters is your own. Suggestions are only small common topics to help nudge action into the right direction.

All that truly matters is that the newfound interests or hobbies must not cause undue harm, violence, or pain to those around you. It should never put anyone else's life or health at risk, in addition to your own.

I aim to trust one's capability, and intentional capacity, to holding their moral standards, yet life has a way of disappointing. Use your judgement wisely, stay cautious, and be vigilant.

How Do I Proceed Once I Have My Inner Flame?

That is completely up to you. If you enjoy it, obviously make it a habit and add it to your arsenal of interests.

You have the means to develop your wants into more, per your expectations or needs. We gain new experiences until we've arrived at the conclusion of our desire(s).

Remember the journey to discoveries does not stop, until we deem it absolute. Life is full of treasures and experiences that can always be turned into new goals, aspirations, or just simple pleasures to enjoy.

Monologue?

I believe tapping into your inner child is a fundamental aspect. Creators and avenue seekers must be allowed to venture outside of normalized societal check boxes and chronological guidelines.

It is the understanding of doing what feels right while enjoying the seamless experience as it unfolds. One should utilize their inner child who has an imaginative power that can be demonstrated or executed at the standard of an adult level expertise.

In my view, this is the paraphrased embodiment of an inner child prodigy in ourselves. The only way to define one's potential with life is by doing, to unlock the true nature that has settled within us.

Whether as a creative or looking for something to do, we deserve the right to allow ourselves to express and be free with our minds on our time. That is just the beginning.

No matter how small, what brings you a sense of peace with a smile and resting mind, is important to building longevity of satisfaction through and within our daily lives.
